Text size settings
Since version 6.11.1 BG Stats supports Dynamic Type, which means it follows your Accessibility settings for Text Size.
System-wide
This system-wide setting is configured in the Settings app on your device and can be found under:
- Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text
Adjust it with the slider at the bottom of that screen.
Per app
There is also an option to change this setting for just BG Stats, instead of changing the text size for your entire device. This can be found under:
- Accessibility > Per-App Settings (almost at the bottom of the list)
If BG Stats is not yet listed there:
- tap ‘Add App‘
- select BG Stats from the list to add it
To change the text size:
- Tap BG Stats > Larger Text
- Adjust the slider (at the bottom of that screen)
Opt-out
Unfortunately, it’s technically impossible to provide an option for a user to enable or disable Liquid glass on iOS 26.
After waiting a while to implement this, to see which direction Apple will take this, it has become clear Liquid glass is here to stay, and will become mandatory from the next major version of the developer tools. Which means not implementing it would ultimately mean the app could not be updated anymore.
A lot of care was taken to make BG Stats look and behave in Liquid glass as much as possible like the previous version, while keeping the intended aesthetics of Liquid glass.
Make it look more like the previous versions
You can make BG Stats look more like the previous version by enabling Reduce Transparency. This can be found in the Settings app on your device under:
- Accessibility > Per-App Settings (almost at the bottom of the list)
If BG Stats is not yet listed there:
- tap ‘Add App‘
- select BG Stats from the list to add it
To change the Reduce Transparency setting:
- Tap BG Stats > Reduce Transparency
- Tap the option On
